Outset’s Tablo is a self-contained portable kidney dialysis machine. The ease of portability allows the dialysis machine to be moved to a patient’s home and used by patients. This is a dramatic improvement over going to a dialysis clinic 3 times a week. When the dialysis machine is in-home, people can use it around their schedule, not a clinic’s availability. Patients can also use it more frequently than the typical 3 times a week done in the clinic.
